Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

Detcon, Inc., a leading manufacturer of gas detection systems has an opening for a Senior Electronics Engineer at its headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.  This high visibility position offers a fast track to department management for the qualified candidate. This position requires supervision of staff and contractors designing and fabricating microprocessor based instrumentation and control products. Familiarity with PIC and 8051 microprocessors and wireless mesh networks is a plus. Experience with the agency approvals processes is highly desirable.

Minimum requirements are BSEE and 5 or more years of design project experience. Interest in, and capability of department management, are necessary.

Compensation package is base salary plus bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The Woodlands location provides for desirable lifestyle benefits from cultural offerings to residential options and continuing education opportunities.

Electronics Technician - Service and Repair

Job Summary:
Detcon, Inc., located in The Woodlands is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art electronic instrumentation for industrial applications. We are seeking a technician for our Service & Repair group. Duties include analysis and repair of printed circuit board devices requiring ability to read and understand schematics, telephone technical asssistance to customers and computer skills sufficient to maintain department administrative records. Knowledge of serial communication networks is a plus. Field service travel, following training, will be a requirement of the position. We will consider recent tech school or military trained candidates for this position.

Electronics Technician - Sensor Calibration Lab

Job Summary:

Detcon, Inc., located in The Woodlands is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art electronic instrumentation for industrial applications. We are seeking a technician for our Calibration Lab. Duties include testing, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of gas detection systems, controller systems and integrated gas detection systems.

Candidate should be familiar with compliance to industrial quality standards and reporting requirements.
This position requires Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent military training experience.
