Uu Su Haw joined Detcon in 2003 as a Sales Engineer where he began cultivating and serving the company's Asian Pacific market. Today, Uu manages Detcon's manufacturing facility in China and serves as the Asian Pacific Area Sales Manager. Prior to joining Detcon, Uu worked for a Detcon distributor in Singapore that provided fixed and portable gas detection products, as well as personal breathing equipment in offshore and land-based markets.
Originally from Singapore, Uu says his regional knowledge and experience is an advantage when communicating with customers and servicing their application needs. While at Detcon, he has worked on numerous projects covering a wide range of applications: drill ships, offshore rigs, FPSOs, barges, land rigs, petrochemical plants, refineries, coal gasification plants, steel mills, and wastewater treatment facilities. Among Uu's most coveted projects include a deep diving Chinese Submersible, one of the world's largest and most complex FPSOs, and the 2008 Olympic wastewater treatment facility in Beijing.
Uu has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and is certified in sales, gas detection applications, and maintenance training on all products that Detcon manufactures and supplies.
