Rick Sowell joined Detcon in 2001 as a Service & Repair Technician where he conducted both in-house and field service repairs. In 2006 he transferred to Sensor Testing and Calibration where he served as Lead Calibration Technician. One year later, Rick was promoted to Inside Sales Supervisor where his responsibilities included assisting customers with application questions as well as sales. Soon thereafter, he temporarily transitioned to Engineering's Product Test/Evaluation team, further expanding his knowledge of Detcon products. Today, Rick is the Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager where he supervises both Inside Sales and the Service & Repair Department. Whether conducting in-the-field repairs, on-site training, or over-the-phone application assistance, Rick has assisted and continues to assist customers' complete needs. Over the years, Rick has worked on numerous projects both in service & repair, and in sales to include deep water drilling ships, FPSOs, gas transfer pipelines, and gas treatment plants. Rick has an Associates Degree in Business, is a commercial rated pilot, and FCC GROL Licensed. He is certified in gas detection applications, and maintenance and training on all products that Detcon manufactures and supplies. Rick has completed Sea Survival Training and Basic Marine Firefighting.

Sam Loyacano

Sam Loyacano joined Detcon in 2006 as North America Business Development Manager responsible for the downstream market. Today, Sam focuses on serving customers in the Rocky Mountains Region, Midwest North America, South and North Texas, and Western Canada.
Prior to joining Detcon, Sam worked for a major provider of analytical instruments as Regional Sales Manager of Processing Systems. During that time, he gained substantial application knowledge. With more than 22 years in the processing instrumentation field, Sam says he first listens closely to a customer's needs, then devises practical solutions. While at Detcon, he has worked on numerous projects covering a wide range of applications. Among Sam's most coveted projects include a large wholesale marketer of natural gas liquids, one of the nation's leading interstate pipeline systems, and a major oil exploration and production company.
Sam has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Lamar Univeristy. He is certified to provide product training on Detcon Model Series 1000 Gas Pipeline Analyzers, and is certified in all Detcon product sales.

Bill Kamp

Bill Kamp joined Detcon in 2009 to oversee the company's downstream market in The Gulf of Mexico. Six months later, his responsibilities were expanded to include midstream and the North American East Coast. Today, Bill serves as the Gulf Coast Upstream & South Eastern USA Area Manager where he oversees and services the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets in North and Southeast North America as well as the Upstream Gulf of Mexico. Prior to joining Detcon, Bill worked for an analytical instruments company as the National Sales Manager for the Environmental Instruments Division. He brings to Detcon more than 26 years of experience in the gas detection industry. Bill says his extensive application knowledge and understanding of sensor technologies enable him to assist with viable solutions when servicing customers' needs. While at Detcon, Bill has worked on numerous projects covering a wide range of applications. Among his most coveted projects include one of the country's fastest growing natural gas transportation companies, one of the world's largest medical device companies, and an ultra-deep offshore well.
Bill has a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, and he is certified in Detcon product sales.
